I tried these on PPSSPP PC version and I did not encounter glitches or any FPS drops. Currently, I am using PPSSPP build 1.2.2 in Windows 10 x64 (VGA:nVidia 710M, Core i5 Intel Processor, RAM 5GB). Hope these will help. Best Graphic Settings for Silent Hill Origin.
Silent Hill: Origins is a survival horror video game for the PlayStation Portable developed by Climax Action. It was published by Konami Digital Entertainment worldwide in late 2007, beginning in early November with the United Kingdom. Set in the series’ eponymous, fictional American town, Origins follows trucker Travis Grady as he searches for information about a girl whom he rescued from a fire. Along the way, he unlocks his repressed childhood memories. Gameplay uses a third-person perspective, and emphasizes combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving, similar to the previous installments.
The renowned Silent Hill survival horror series makes its handheld gaming debut with a brand new adventure that reveals many of the series’ most hallowed secrets. Assuming the role of Travis Grady, a lone truck driver trapped in Silent Hill while making a routine delivery, players must escape the city’s horrific inhabitants and confront the strange hallucinations that have haunted Travis since childhood. Taking full advantage of the PSP system’s graphics, sound, and portability, Silent Hill Origins sets a new standard in handheld gaming terror.
For combat, in addition to using his fists (the first Silent Hill game where unarmed combat is possible), Travis accumulates a range of weapons throughout the town: firearms, melee weapons, and one-shot items usable in close combat; the latter two are breakable. Although one-shot items can be used to quickly kill some of the monsters encountered early on, Travis is vulnerable while performing this action to damage from quick enemies or those with long-ranged attacks. Origins also introduces the “grapple” system, a quick time event activated when a monster grabs him. Should he escape, no damage is done to either him or the monster. The status of his “health” is indicated in the inventory, since the game does not feature a heads-up display however, when his health is critical, the edges of the screen throb red, and his heartbeat is heard.

RE: Silent Hill: Origins Using the lastest version of the emulator on windows 7 but emulation speed makes the game unplayable for me, it even slows down with a high frameskipping, can anyone recommend me the optimal settings for this game? |

RE: Silent Hill: Origins I noticed the drop in speed only happens when you turn on the flashlight otherwise it runs without lag. |

RE: Silent Hill: Origins Ok I found a way to play through the game without any lag and without screen flickering, use the default settings but disable autoframe and select 2 for frameskipping and try to play without turning on the flashlight, if you turn on the flashlight the frame rate drops a lot this also happens in cutscenes where the flashlight is on, so when you start the game put the brightness to the max, do this also in your tv and you can play the game without using the flashlight. The ppsspp devs could add an option to disable the flashlight effects in future realeases. The flashlight slowing down the game also happens in silent hill shattered memories. |

RE: Silent Hill: Origins Did that but all I got was a black screen. But I managed to play the game at 100% speed with this settings: frameskipping off, autoframe off, disable stencil test ticked. The frame rate stills drops a lot when turning on the flashlight but I can play without using it with the brightness to max. |
